This is one of the most efficient flashlight designs I’ve ever seen. It’s just a little device about half the size of a 9-volt battery that snaps directly onto a 9-volt battery.
A small sliding switch in the center position is off. Click it one way and two of the LED bulbs illuminate, enough to provide some light while saving power. Click it the other way, and all six of the LED bulbs activate for maximum illumination. It’s surprisingly bright, enough to light your way while walking or to read by.
It’s well-made, simple, clever, and effective. A big thumbs-up from this guy. Here’s a link to the actual name-brand Blocklite, which I’m very happy with and has good reviews. It even comes with a starter battery. Beware of knock-off copies out there that people seem to be less happy with.
